The Cluster of Automotive Industry of Ulyanovsk region is a set of organizations that ensure the preservation and development of the automotive industry in the Ulyanovsk region.

The Cluster of Automotive Industry of Ulyanovsk region was created on the initiative of "UAZ", an anchor company. The automotive component sector comprises more than 14 enterprises at different levels, more than half of which are small and medium-sized enterprises. The total number of employees in the cluster is more than 14,000 people. K

The volume of products produced in 2017 amounted to more than 34 billion rubles, which amounted to almost 50% of all products produced by the type of activity "production of vehicles".

In its activities, the The Cluster of Automotive Industry of the Ulyanovsk region is guided by the Federal law of 31.12.2014 No. 488-FZ "on industrial policy in the Russian Federation", the Government Decree of 31.07.2015 No. 779" on industrial clusters and specialized organizations of industrial clusters", the Government of the Russian Federation of 28.01.2016 No. 41 "on approval of the Rules for granting subsidies from the Federal budget to participants of industrial clusters for reimbursement of costs in the implementation of joint projects for the production of industrial products of the cluster for import substitution"), as well As the law of the Ulyanovsk region from 25.12.2014 year № 218-ZO "on industrial policy in the Ulyanovsk region."

The purpose of the establishment of The Cluster of Automotive Industry in Ulyanovsk region:

increased cooperation between the participants Of the automotive industrial cluster of the Ulyanovsk region, including for import substitution;

implementation of information exchange aimed at improving the competitiveness and economic potential of Cluster Members.

Tasks Of automotive industrial cluster of Ulyanovsk region:

development of enterprises-participants Of the automotive industrial cluster of Ulyanovsk region;

development of the automotive industrial cluster infrastructure in Ulyanovsk region;

development and implementation of joint projects of participants Of the automotive industrial cluster of the Ulyanovsk region for the production of industrial products for import substitution;

ensuring the receipt of subsidies from the Federal budget to reimburse part of the costs in the implementation of joint projects of the participants of the Automotive industrial cluster of the Ulyanovsk region.
